Here's what you need to know about Central Florida's weather for this weekend:

  • Rain chances increase to 40% for the weekend, mostly in the afternoon
  • High temperatures climb to around 90 degrees on Saturday
  • Hurricane season starts Monday, June 1

We only had a few isolated showers Friday afternoon with hot temperatures around 90 degrees. The possibility for afternoon showers and storms picks up this weekend and continues for a good part of next week. Ocean conditions will start to improve, however, over the next few days.

While most will be dry and partly cloudy overnight, there will still be a small chance for a stray shower to move inland off of the Atlantic Ocean. Temperatures will be warm, dropping only into the low 70s.

Our Saturday will begin with mostly sunny skies, but clouds will increase heading into the afternoon. High temperatures will climb to around 90 degrees. More moisture will move into Central Florida, increasing the chance for showers and even a few storms during the afternoon and evening hours as the east coast sea breeze tracks west. While winds will remain out of the east, they will be slightly lower than the past few days. This means that the ocean conditions will not be as choppy and rough. There will still be a moderate rip current risk through the weekend.
