A strip club operating as a neighborhood bar has been shut down in Orange County.

The Metropolitan Bureau of Investigation on Thursday raided Los Compaz Sports Bar & Grill, which is located on West Oak Ridge Road just off Orange Blossom Trail. It's just a few feet from a high school.

Authorities arrested 29-year-old Steven Gonzalez, the owner of the bar.

"I started bartending, and then I would dance a little bit, and then go back bartending and dance a little bit," said Tina Cruz, who worked at the bar.

Undercover footage from a two-month-long operation helped the MBI close the illegal strip club and arrest Gonzalez.

Cruz didn't know Los Compaz was raided and closed Thursday night until she tried to see if she could pick up a shift.

She said she only worked a couple of times and that the tips were not good — only $3 here and there, she said.

The real money was spent on drugs that were openly sold in the club where weapons were also present.

"Those that go in late night, they realize it's not a neighborhood bar, that it is in fact a strip club," said Michael Gibson, of the Metropolitan Bureau of Investigation.

Gibson said most people were clueless as to what was happening behind the tinted windows.

"If they were doing something illegal, I'm glad they shut down, to tell you the truth," Cruz said. "I really am."

Gonzalez is being held on multiple charges at the Orange County Jail. Gibson said more arrests will be made. The MBI said this is the second raid of a similar operation in the last month.
