The father of a 9-month-old baby girl who died after being left in a hot pickup truck for at least four hours in Brevard County has been arrested.

Rockledge police arrested Steven Lillie on Friday, charging him with aggravated manslaughter.

Investigators said Lillie went to work Monday and forgot to drop off his daughter with a caregiver.

Lillie, 31, said he didn't realize he had left the 9-month-old girl in the car, and by the time he realized what had happened, it was too late.

Lillie has been booked into the Brevard County Detention Center. He is scheduled to go before a judge on Saturday.
