Alexandria Chery's death has been ruled a homicide, according to a newly released autopsy report from the Orange-Osceola County medical examiner that reveals new information about what the once-missing 16-year-old may have gone through before she died.

The autopsy was conducted Aug. 2, one day after Chery was found dead in a wooded area along Osceola-Polk County Road after disappearing from her Orlando-area home four days earlier.

The report, signed Tuesday by Chief Medical Examiner Dr. Jan Garavaglia, found multiple skull fractures, indicating at least two blows to the head, and several puncture wounds on Chery's body, including a stab wound on her left breast.

But the medical examiner concluded none of those injuries caused Chery's death, and her body was too decomposed to determine the exact cause of death.

Sanel Saint Simon, who was dating Chery's mother, has been charged with murdering the teen and dumping her body. He remains locked up in the Orange County Jail.

Saint Simon has pleaded not guilty, contending he had nothing to do with Chery's disappearance or death. He recently requested a new lawyer, saying his current lawyer was hurting his chances to prove his innocence.

Prosecutors claim Saint Simon planned for three days before the teen was killed. According to investigators, Saint Simon had sexually molested Chery for more than a year, and she had recently begun to reject his advances.

The next hearing in Saint Simon's murder case is scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 26.
